  • Farm and Home Show: Mid January
    Located in the National Guard Armory (High School Gym). Over 80 local vendors set up booths to display their wares. 2 day event on Friday and Saturday.

  • Administrative Professionals Day:
    A great way to show those who make our lives easier that we appreciate them. Held at the Visitors Center where guests are treated to a catered meal and live entertainment. Lots of door prizes too!

  • Shape Up Milbank: End of April / First of May
    Get started with your spring cleaning! This is a great event to make our town sparkle. City wide rummage sales are on a Friday and Saturday. The National Guard will come and pick up your land fill items and haul them away for those who are unable to do it themselves. The land fill fees are waived during this event. The dates of this event change due to the National Guard schedule, call for specific dates.

  • Mid April: Border Walleye Challenge Fishing Tournament
    Teams from SD and MN battle for cash prizes as well as a traveling trophy. SD held the trophy for a number of years, but MN won it back in ’09. Great fishing tournament for all ages.

  • It Only Takes a Spark Cancer Walk: Second Weekend in June
    Milbank’s own Cancer Fundraiser! This amazing event is held the second weekend in June at Lake Farley Park. Come out and help support the battle against cancer, this is a wonderful event. For more details contact It Only Takes a Spark committee members at 605-862-8406.

  • Hartford’s Father’s Day Fishing Tournament: Father’s Day Weekend
    Fishing tournament held Father’s Day weekend at Hartford Beach! What a great way to spend the weekend with dad. For details contact Duane at Mill Valley Industry at 432-4609.

  • Whetstone Valley Antique & Vintage Snowmobile Show and Swap:
    Come out and enjoy a blast from the past. Free admission, concessions available.

  • Farley Fest – Milbank’s biggest festival: June 25-27, 2010
    3 days packed full of events for everyone. Weekend events include a burnout competition, chili cook-off, a spectacular fireworks show, a 5Krun/2 mile fun walk/Kid’s Run, a milling demonstration at our historic Grist Mill, Q-Fest BBQ competition, an outdoor concert featuring a big name country artist, a street dance, a car show, a parade and much more!   • Twin Brooks Threshing Show: The 2nd weekend in August

  • Chamber Golf Scramble: 26 at 11:30 Registration
    18 Hole, 4 person scramble. Limited to the first 18 teams or 72 golfers. 1 person on each team must be a member of the Milbank Area Chamber of Commerce & only 1 person per team may be under a 10 USGA handicap. When you shop locally, you get to enter to win Ol’ Mill Bucks at one of our 4 Saturday drawings. The fun starts with the lighting ceremony at Lake Farley Park on the Friday after Thanksgiving. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there for the big event! There will be other fun events going on each weekend of the promotion. Call for details.
