Lake Farley is one of Milbank’s most beautiful areas. This large park offers entertainment and fun for individuals of all ages. Several different playgrounds are available for children, as well as a swimming beach with two docks. Five picnic shelters across the park are accessible for relaxation, family picnics, or event gatherings. A path around the park is great for walking, jogging, or biking. Enjoy a game of basketball or volleyball near the beach area. Restrooms are available near the playground and beach. This manmade lake was named after an active community volunteer and councilman, John Stanley Farley. The lake and dam provided the needed source of water for operating the steam locomotives that fueled the railroad train. Take a chance to visit the Lake Farley Train Station near the beach area.
